Coach Ryan Boutin was very happy with the result.
“The last two games were probably the best two games that every kid played all year,” said coach Boutin. “Everybody just worked super hard, played the system and never gave up.”
He said the team is balanced with about half of the players moving up to the next level, leaving a solid core for the coming season.
He is impressed with the winning this weekend and it reflects the culture of Drumheller Minor Hockey.
At the U11, there are no provincial playoffs, but they aren’t quite finished with the season for the year. Coach Boutin says the team has an exhibition game coming up, and a tournament scheduled for the end of March in Edmonton.
