The DVSS Dynos Grade 8/9 Girls Volleyball team started their season off on the right step with a bronze medal.
The Dynos travelled to Olds over the weekend to compete in a season opening tournament at Olds College.
According to coach Jeff Messom, the team showed a lot of improvement with each game they played, and finished third in their pool, which put them up against the Olds high school.
In the playoff game the girls lost in 3 sets to Olds losing the deciding set by 15-13. In the third place game, the DVSS team played PCA and defeated them in two straight sets to capture 3rd place in the tournament.
The Junior Team will be back in action on Thursday, September 22 in Carbon.
