Bantam B Provincials finalizing tournament plans

Drumheller Minor Hockey is proud to announce they have been chosen to host the 2016 ATB Hockey Alberta Provincial Bantam B Championships.
On March 17 to 20, ten teams from across Alberta will playoff for a Provincial Championship and this is an opportunity for the public to enjoy great hockey being played at the Bantam B level. Games will be played at Memorial Arena and  Hussar Arena.
Opening Ceremonies will be held Thursday, March 17 in the Memorial Arena at 7:00 pm,  with Jayden Nail as  Master of Ceremonies.
Drumheller’s Got Talent Winner 2014, Abby Fooks,  will be singing and Western GM Drumheller will be having a T-Shirt Toss.  
Team and player introductions will be announced, as each team grand marches onto the ice. Welcome speeches will follow and there will be a ceremonial puck drop.  The public is welcome to attend.  
Drumheller Western Chev Bantam Raptors Assistant Coach Joe Castonguay said, “We are looking good, everybody is ready. We still have a couple more practices.  Our boys are going to have to work hard to win.”
Thursday, March 17, will be first of four games,  for the Drumheller Raptors. All four of their games will be at the Memorial Arena.  The first game will start at 4:00 against Edmonton Oil Kings.  Friday, March 18, Drumheller Raptors will be competing against the 3C’s Coyotes at 11:30 am and they will play again at 5:15 against Stony Plain Predators. On Saturday March 19, the last of the round robin games will be against Slave Lake Thunder at 1:30 pm.  
Head Coach for the Drumheller Bantam Raptors Bryce Jensen spoke with The Mail, “We are up for the challenge.  We are working new strategies and it’s going to be a strong physical tournament.”
Semi-finals will be Sunday, starting at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. The Championship final will start at 4:00 pm at the Memorial Arena.
