SCHROCK, Agnes Emilie (Peggy)

Peggy was born in the rural district of Verdant Valley, just east of Drumheller, Alberta, on September 29, 1921, to Rose and Frederick Diprose, the only daughter of the six children. She and Frederick Schrock married on November 11, 1942, and were married for 65 years before his passing in 2007. For the last several years, she has resided at the Staywell Manor, and we thank the staff for her excellent care. She suffered an aneurysm and passed away at age 89 on April 30, 2011. After raising her family, Peggy worked as a book-keeper for many years. She was a 50-year member of the Colfax Rebecca Lodge #51 in Hanna, Alberta, and also enjoyed her sewing circle, her card group, theatre and music of all types. She loved to travel and leaves behind many friends made and kept over the years. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Strong (Wayne) of Edmonton, Alberta and Patricia Mahoney of Calgary, Alberta, Daughter-in-law Anne-Marie Schrock of Kelowna, British Columbia, Brothers Ken Diprose (Lucie) of Edmonton, and Robert Diprose (Dorothy) of Stettler, Alberta, 6 grand-children and 13 great grand-children, and many special nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by Husband Frederick Schrock, son Frederick Schrock, brothers and sisters-in-law Frederick Diprose (Dorothy), William Diprose (Blanche), and brother Harold. Peggy’s Celebration of Life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.
