SIDDON, Trudie (Humfrey)
September 28, 1918 - January 27, 2011
Trudie passed away quietly, surrounded by family, at the age of 92. She is survived by her children Tom (Pat), Darryl (Kris), Elaine (Larry), Ron (Melanie) and son-in-law Fred (Judy), sixteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald in 2006 and her daughter Donna in 2008. Trudie was the last surviving child of Ilbury and Daisy Humfrey of Mazeppa, Alberta. Mom married Dad in Drumheller on January 1, 1941. They raised their family of five children and lived in Drumheller for the rest of their lives. They spent their final years at the Sunshine and Hillview Lodges. The family is very grateful for the warm and tender care they received there. Mom was an active member of St. Magloire’s Anglican Church, the IODE, a volunteer for the Drumheller Music Festival, and always had a ready hand for those who may need help. Mom was always happy and friendly, full of life and love for her family and friends. She was a great and loving lady and a living example of caring values and deep faith in our family and the community. She will be sadly missed, but has been given a new life in a better place. A Christian memorial service and celebration of Mom’s life was held at St. Magloire’s Anglican Church in Drumheller, Alberta on Monday, January 31, 2011. Expressions of sympathy can be forwarded to Courtney-Winters Funeral Home at www.courtneywintersfuneralhome.ca. In memory of Trudie Siddon, memorial donations can be made to St. Magloire’s Anglican Church, 176 - 2nd Street West, Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y4.
