WAPPLE, Judith Marilyn (Cameron)
March 5, 1940 - February 4, 2011
Judith (Judy) Marilyn Wapple passed away peacefully on February 4, 2011 at the Drumheller Health Centre, with her family at her bedside. Judy was predeceased by her parents Wes and Grace Cameron and her brother John Cameron. She will be greatly missed, forever remembered and always loved by her children Dean and Kim Wapple, Marie and Derek Wade, Wes (Tracy) Wapple, Shelley and Kevin Blanchett, and Carol Fenton; her grandchildren Nicole (Jeff), Alisha (Joel), Andrew, Kristy, Jordan, Amie, Katie and Kacey; and great-grandchildren Peyton, Greyson and Ethan. Judy was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on March 5, 1940, but grew up on the family farm near Madison, Saskatchewan, where they raised cattle and grew wheat. She attended school in Madison and later on Kindersley, where she enjoyed three memorable high school years living in the “dorm”. Judy married Arnold Wapple on July 21, 1958 in Brock, Saskatchewan, and together they raised their four children in Kindersley, later moving to Drumheller, Alberta. In 1985, Judy was involved in a life changing car accident that left her a paraplegic. Mom far exceeded anyone’s expectation in maintaining her independence and role in our family as a mother and a grandmother. Her kind and compassionate nature has endeared her to so many, and her quiet strength has been an inspiration to us all. Rest easy, Mom. We love you. A private interment will be held in Kindersley, SK. If you wish to remember Judy, donations may be made to the Canadian Paraplegic Association (Alberta), 401, 320 - 23 Ave. SW, Calgary, AB T2S 0J2, or e-mail: Calgary@cpa-ab.org.
