McPHEE, Carol Judith

It is with greatest sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Carol. Carol passed away September 5, 2010 at the Drumheller Hospital with her friends by her side, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her partner Ron Pozzo, mother Fryda McPhee, son Jeremy, nephews Allyn and Larry, and brother-in-law Ken. Carol also leaves her ‘Little Girl’ (canine companion) “Rin”. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol was predeceased by her sister Patricia Storms, in 2007, her loving father Gordon McPhee, in 2009, and both sets of grandparents. She will be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate person who touched the lives of many with her kind acts of healing, living life to the fullest. On behalf of the family, we would send our greatest thanks to Dr. Racz and Dr. Olfert, the Cancer Clinic, the Drumheller Wellness Clinic, Nursing Staff of the Drumheller Health Complex, and to all the well wishers who shared cards, visits, and flowers. A memorial service was held at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home on September 11, 2010. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations to either ‘STARS’ or the Drumheller Community Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
