It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our brother, cousin, nephew and uncle. Rod was born on May 14, 1946 in Drumheller and passed away peacefully in Coleman, Alberta on Sunday, August 29. He leaves to mourn his sister Adair (Kiki) and her husband Doug Makkonen of Hanes Junction, YT and the aforementioned nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents and his dad and mom - Gordon and Janet Naegeli. Rod attended school in Drumheller until the family moved to Canmore. He worked in construction all of his life and eventually settled in Coleman where he enjoyed a quiet life with his parents and friends. He was very proud of his heritage and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him. At the request of the family, there will be no formal service.
