Relay for Life asks for photos of those who lost cancer battle

    This year’s Relay for Life organizers are asking for involvement not only in gathering and registering teams, but a new project requesting people to submit photos of those who have lost their battle with cancer.     Organizer Shari Christensen says the group hopes to create a collage of images made up of Drumheller resident’s photos of those who died, as plans for the June 10 and 11 event are underway.
    “Sometimes visual aids help people along,” says Christensen, adding that pictures can be sent to the Drumheller Relay for Life email at drumrelay@hotmail.ca. More information can be requested at this e-mail too.
    As of Monday, two teams have registered for the June event: Tickled Pink and Lynn’s Lucious Ladies.
    A booth will be set up at the Sports Expo at the Stampede Barn on March 10 for teams looking to register. Teams can also register at the Canadian Cancer Society Relay website, http://convio.cancer.ca/.
