Just after 8 a.m. March 12, emergency services from Drumheller and Delia responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 576 just west of Highway 851. A single tanker truck was eastbound on Highway 576 when it crossed the centre line and entered the north ditch. The truck rolled as it entered the ditch, coming to rest on the passenger side. The male driver and only occupant was assisted out of the truck cab by passing motorists and was then transported to Drumheller Health Centre by ambulance with undetermined injuries. He was indicated to be in stable condition. The truck was loaded with a "KCL Water" mixture, which is not a dangerous fluid, and was leaking as a result of the rollover. The trucking company attended the scene immediately and used a vacuum truck to offload the tanker. RCMP and the Department of Transportation are continuing to investigate this incident.
