Hussar 4-H Sale set for Sunday

The rewards for a year of hard work of raising their cattle will come this Sunday at the Hussar, Standard Gleichen and Cluny 4-H Show and Sale. This year’s show and sale is on May 27, with the show starting at 10 a.m. and the annual auction beginning at 3 p.m. in the Hussar arena.

This year there are 26 4-H raised cattle on the auction block, plus one to be sold as a fundraiser.

Running the auction is Darren Rebalkin. Of the entries there are four from the Gleichen Cluny area, the rest are from Hussar.

The auction always attracts great support from 4-H boosters, and that means top dollar is being paid for real Alberta-raised 4-H beef. Last year 31 calves were sold with the Grand Champion fetching $3.90 per pound.
