Professional bull busting coming to Hussar

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) of Canada will be coming to Hussar on Sunday, June 15, as part of the Hussar Lions Club 32nd Annual Summer Daze and Bull Riding.
Summer Daze will begin on Saturday, June 14, with a parade, Southern Alberta Chili Cookoff, barbecue, dance, and garage sale.
On Sunday the PBR Canada Touring Pro Series Bull Riding begins at 2 p.m.
On both Saturday and Sunday there will be a chuckwagon breakfast, mixed slo-pitch tournament, beer gardens on the grounds, and the third annual Hussar Fishing Derby.
Hussar Summer Daze will also be hosting its first Home Grown Talent Showcase with hometown hero Mary Ann Oxtoby and “City Limits” headlining the event in concert. Singers will also include Jay Coda Walker and Russel Brewer.The concert will start at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.
The bull riding competition will feature a $3,000 Ruby Dale Asphalt Bounty Bull.
Gate admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children on Saturday, and $15 for adults and $8 dollars for children on Sunday.
The event is being hosted by Strathmore Motor Products.
To get to Hussar, from Drumheller, travel east on Highway 10 through the community of Rosedale, then head south on Highway 56. Hussar is about 50 kilometers from Drumheller. Follow the signs.
