Dragons back on top

dragons_back_on_top.jpgDrumheller’s Dragons had a taste of sweet revenge on Monday night, taking on Canmore at home after a 3-2 loss to the Eagles only a week ago.
Drumheller seems to have found their fire, notching up a four point lead against Canmore on February 2, ending with a 7-3 Eagle-slaughter.
Dominating with five goals in the second period alone, including two on the powerplay from Nocera and Faryna, the Dragons are finishing the regular season in style.
The beastly Dragons are known for their use of the body, and on Monday they were as aggressive as their mythological counterpart, laying the Eagles flat out on the ice.

All-star sniper Jeff Young tallied three for a hat trick on Monday, and Drumheller’s Captain Trent Colberg celebrated with an assist on his 177 game with the team since starting in the 2005-06 season.
Last week’s home game against the Lloydminister Bobcats saw the Dragons come back from a two point deficit in the third period, electrifying the fans to win 4-3 in the end.
Down by two entering the third, new-comer Ashton Reinboldt quickly tied it up a minute after stepping onto the ice, making way for Just Faryna to fire in the gamebreaker with three minutes left.
The Drumheller Dragons only have nine games left in the regular season of the AJHL, the team is hosting the Calgary Royals once again at home on Wednesday, February 4.
