Phil McCluskey wins championship flight of Men’s Open

    The first major tournament at Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club came and went last weekend with some great golfing at the Men’s Open.     The tournament went on Saturday and Sunday and featured a new format, which included a two-man team two-day scramble and better ball net, or two-day single stroke contest. As the weather cleared on Saturday, the golf heated up.
    In the single stroke competition, in the championship flight, Phil McCluskey was the first low gross with 146, Gary Chung had second low gross with 167 and Trent Colberg had the third low gross of 169.    
    The first low net went to Wes Chung with 144, second low net went to Matt McKinnon with 149 and third low net went to Jeff Skytt with 151.
    Low gross winner in the first flight was Dave Morgan with 159, second low gross went to Tom Cardamone with 171 and third low gross went to Bob Beauchamp with 179. First low net was Brad Hunter with 137, second low net was Jordan Kliner with 143 and third low net was Kelly Nault with 147.
    In the second flight Hans Waiboer had low gross with 177, Jamie Boyko had second low gross with 180 and Adrian McCluskey had third low gross with 190. The first low net went to Ryan Colberg with 144, Second low net went to John Graham with 145 and third low net went to Trevor Gough with 148.
    In the two-man team competition, the first low gross was the team of Bruce Wade and Rick Schinnour with 151 on a count back, the second low gross was the team of Don and Steven Yavis with 152.  The first low net went to the team of Dave Bethel and Bink Losoncy with 135 and the second low net went to the team of Lee Thompson and Vince Low with 143.
