Senior Titans fall to Brooks

The Titans knew Brooks was going to be a tough opponent last Friday night, but what was tougher for the team was the realization they could have been in the game.
The Titans hosted the Brooks Buffalos last Friday under the bright lights, but fell 20-6. Coach Ken Fournier felt the team could have competed better.
“We knew Brooks was going to be tough, I think the frustrating part about it was the guys knew in the locker room after it was a game we could have won,” said Fournier.
He said the team fell short of the game they were capable of playing.
“It was lack of execution due to lack of aggression. They just didn’t fire out of the gate and were unfocused,” he said. “We didn’t execute plays properly.”
“Our guys have to realize that taking bad penalties and making mistakes against tough opponents will cost you.”
There were some bright spots with big games from Cory Kroeger, Noah Miles, and Ethan Duncalf.  Derrick Carrier was back in the line-up.
Fournier’s hope is that his young team keeps progressing, looking to be confident and aggressive on the field.
“I think they are trying to find it within themselves to beat these tougher opponents, and they are just learning how to,” he said. “When it comes down to it these guys want to win, but we need to show them how to have better focus and come out of the gates harder. I felt we were flat footed, and a little unfocused on our individual tasks and overall it created sloppy plays.”
This week the Titans are on the road to face the Medicine Hat Vikings Friday night.
