Injury benches Dynos’ lead scorer for season

The DVSS Dynos senior boys basketball team were dealt a serious blow this weekend and have lost their top scorer for the season with a broken arm.
The Dynos have been having a strong season and were sitting in second place in their league after defeating Prairie Christian Academy on February 4.
The Dynos jumped out quickly and led by 14 after the first quarter. They continued to build and won 83-43. Talon Marshall and Matt Herman both had 17 points and Liam Hilchey also contributed 15 to the win.
Last weekend the Dynos were part of one of the toughest tournaments in the area at the Superman Tournament in Three Hills.  Last season they won silver at the prestigious competition.
This year they met Vauxhall in their first game and they proved to be a formidable opponent winning by 29 points, according to coach Jeff Messom. They bounced back in their second game versus Glenmary School of Peace River and won by 30 points.
At their final game of the tournament, the Dynos played Rimbey. They played hard and won by 19 points. However in the fourth quarter, Dynos lead scorer Talon Marshal was injured. He broke his arm and will be out the remainder of the season.
