Another Drumheller team is heading to the provincials after a convincing win in the zone Championships.
The Bantam Raptors hosted Canmore in Game 2 of the total points series on Saturday, February 16 at the Drumheller Memorial Arena. The teams were tied at three apiece coming out of their first game.
It didn’t take long for Drumheller to exert its dominance and take a 1-0 lead. Canmore tied it up for a spell, but the Raptors took the lead and continued to build to a 4-1 victory.
This game earned the Raptors the Zone Six Championship and a spot at the provincial tournament. This year the bantams play off at Forestburg from March 14-17.
This is the second Drumheller team this week to earn a spot at provincials. Last week, inSide Drumheller reported that on Wednesday, February 13 the Midget Raptors also won the zone championship.
