For sports, recreation, or arts clubs seeking to expand their membership, an opportunity to showcase what you’re offering is just around the corner.
The Sports, Recreation & Arts Expo, sponsored by the Town of Drumheller, is getting the word out to clubs and businesses wishing to participate. The expo will be held on March 7 and applications to be involved are available.
“If, for example, a sports club is at the event, it’s a chance to increase recruitment and their league,” said Heather Little, Marketing and Events Officer for the Badlands Community Facility.
There are several ways to get involved, such as sponsorship, setting up an exhibit booth, or a chance to demonstrate what you do, for example a dance routine or martial arts sparring.
Last fall there were 200 attendees perusing the options available in Drumheller.
“It’s a one-stop shop for residents to see what’s going on in the valley for sports, recreation, and arts and sign up for it in one place,” said Little.
The expo is scheduled to be held in the new Badlands Community Facility on March 7.
For anyone wishing to sponsor, set up an exhibit, or give a demonstration, more information and the application form can be found at www.dinosaurvalley.com/town-page or by contacting Heather Little at 403-823-1333.
To complement the expo The Drumheller Mail will be releasing it’s second annual Spring/Summer Program Guide. The guide, released at the same time as the expo, lists the dates, times, locations, and contact information for the featured clubs, an invaluable resource for anyone wishing to get active. The guide will also highlight which clubs will be present at the expo.
