Ruth Findlay nee Johnson passed away peacefully at Olds, Alberta on April 6, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Bob; sister Thelma Stunzi and brother Oliver Johnson. Ruth is survived by her sons Darwyn (Mary) and Howard (Laree) and her sister Naomi as well as eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She maintained a loving relationship with her brother and sister’s in-law together with many nieces, nephews and cousins from far away. Ruth will be missed by all her special friends from Drumheller where she was a member of the Royal Purple and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. During her short time at Olds, Ruth became dear friends with residents and staff at Legacy Village and Mountview Lodge. A Celebration of Ruth’s long Life will be held at First Baptist Church, 5005 - 53 Avenue, Olds, Alberta on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Harold Hunter.
