Angela Margaret Clementina Guidolin (nee Baesen) passed away on February 19, 2011 at the age of 99. She was born on April 23, 1911 in Wingene, West Flanders, Belgium. The Baesen family arrived in Drumheller on April 1, 1927. She married Joseph Guidolin at St. Anthony’s Church in Drumheller on April 22, 1929. They were married for 71 years until Joseph’s passing on November 17, 2000. Angela was a resident at the Sunshine Lodge in Drumheller until May 9, 2005 when she moved to Drumheller Continuing Care where she resided until her passing. Angela is survived by her loving sons Miro (Karen) and Donald (Ingrid) all of Drumheller, Grandchildren Dean (Sheri-Dawn), Brian (Christina), Melanie (Murray), Deanna (Ray), and Elena (Marc), Great Grandchildren Larissa, Jeffrey, Dayton, Karyna, Mya, Siena, Brooke, Jacob, Dominic, and her 10th great grandchild (Baby Des Lauriers) due this summer. Also surviving are her sister Rachael Twa of Calgary, Sister in Law Josephine of Drumheller, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Belgium. Angela was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph, her parents Ernest and Clementina Baesen, and her brother Fred Baesen. Prayer service to be held at Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Drumheller. Burial to follow at Drumheller Municipal Cemetery. If friends and family so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Health Centre, Continuing Care Facility – 351 9th St NW, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y1, or the charity of your choice.
