Margaret Irene Mackie (nee Richardson) was born in Rowley, Alberta on October 13, 1911. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at Oakside Residence in Enderby on February 1, 2011, just months short of her 100th birthday. After many years in Grimshaw, Alberta, she and her late husband Bill moved to Vernon in 1967, and developed Estamont Beach Subdivision. She was predeceased by Bill in 2006. Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughter Myrna Manning of Drumheller; sons Robert and Ron of Vernon, and Lorne (Wilma) in Calgary. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. At her specific request, there will be no public Service held. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155. Condolences may be offered at www.vernonfuneralhome.com.
