HANSEN
Stanley Norman
June 8, 1944 - May 25, 2024
79 years
Stan was born in the Hanna Hospital, the second child of Conrad and Anna Hansen of Craigmyle. He had an older sister, May, and 6 years later a younger sister Lorretta joined the family. He had many jobs in his life-farmer, carpenter, truck driver and finally he and Pat were caretakers at the Delia Arena which was the job that he loved the most.
Stan leaves behind his wife of 55 years Pat, his sons Jason and Steve, his daughter-in-law Melanie and his grandchildren Tanner and Olivia. If you knew Stan you knew all about his grandchildren. He also leaves his sister May (Bob) Bamber and their family and his sister Lorretta Stabler and her family. Also missing him are Pat’s brothers, sisters and families-Wayne and Loree Nixon, Dale and Carol Nixon, Larry Norlie, Wanda and Don Wilkie, Terry and Anne Nixon and Dave and Lynne Nixon. He has gone to join his son Troy, his sister-in-law Linda Norlie, his parents Conrad and Anna Hansen, his in-laws Dave and Betty Nixon and other family and friends.
A celebration of Stan’s life will be held in the Delia Community Hall on July 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The family will be laying him to rest in the Craigmyle Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to the Drumheller Community Cancer Centre.
Stan’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rehan, Dr. Mateer, Dr. Gregg, Dr. Randolph and Dr. Chetty for the care and compassion shown to Stan and to us. Angels come in many forms and Wendy & Tammy at the Drumheller Community Cancer Centre are definitely two of them. We could never thank them enough for the oasis they have created. Stan referred to them as family and many world problems were solved while he was taking treatments. He was loved and will be missed.
Prairie Rose Cremation and Funeral Services were entrusted with the arrangements.
