WILLIAMS, GERALD LLEWELLYN

Gerald Llewellyn Williams of Delia, Alberta, passed peacefully December 5, 2016 at the age of 64 in Drumheller surrounded by family. Gerry was born October 7, 1952 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to the late Ivor and Emma Williams. He was the oldest of five siblings. Gerry attended school in Mossbank, Sk. He moved to the Brooks area in 1979 after marrying Sharon Fisk where he raised his family and started his own company in the oil patch. He worked as a millwright and heavy duty mechanic, then contract operated. Gerry had many passions, most involved building and fixing, but he also tried his hand at farming. He will always be remembered for his steadfast nature and uncanny sense of humor. Most know him for how hard he worked, he never left a job until it was done and done right. Gerry and Sandy met in 2004 and settled in Delia. He enjoyed sitting outside, playing crib and watching the birds enjoy his immaculately kept yard. He is survived by his loving partner Sandy Beasley; son Jason Williams (Monique) and their three children Dane, Zeke and Cole of Indus, Alberta; his daughter Carey (Kole) Steinley of Duchess, Alberta and their son Karter; Malissa (Kelsey) Campbell, and their children Brett and Carter; Jenelle Beasley; Megan Beasley; his brothers Grant (Diane), Dale (Sue), Clark (Laura), Clay (Margaret); Marion Williams of Mossbank, Sask and numerous nephews and nieces. Gerry’s ashes will be returned to the earth in the spring at the homestead where he grew up. A small informal celebration of his life was held at the Patricia Hotel on December 18th from 1-5pm.
