MUNDELL, Eldora “Trudy”

It is with great sadness, we announce that our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & dearest Friend, Eldora “Trudy” Mundell passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the age of 84 years. While under the care of the dedicated and caring staff at the Drumheller Health Care Center, she spent her final hours surrounded by family. Trudy was born October 22, 1931 in Lang, Saskatchewan to Earl & Augusta Middleton. She was the second youngest of 7 children. She married George Mundell in 1954 in Regina then moved several times in Saskatchewan and Alberta with George’s work, ending up in Drumheller in 1971. Trudy was well known for managing the Tipple Inn Restaurant of the Coop Mall and the local Dairy Queen until she retired in her late 50’s. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with family, playing Scrabble with friends and creating many craft items. Trudy leaves to mourn, her daughter Arlene, her sons Michael & Kevin (Shirley), grandchildren Tammy and Ken (Melissa), Jasmine (David), Elizabeth, Katrina (Clint), James, Kyle and Colin (Mackenzie) and great grandchildren Sam, Adam, Natalie, Grant, Caleb, Emily and Caeden as well as her sister Marlene Alice (Ron). She was predeceased by her parents, 5 brothers Wilfred, Wilbur, Floyd, Glenn, Harvey, husband George, son-in-law Jerry and an infant son. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of The Nazarene in Drumheller on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 7 pm. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements
