WATTENBARGER, Louis Lawrence

November 29, 1944 - February 27, 2015

Beloved husband, father, Poppa and friend passed away suddenly at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary.  Louis will be remembered and dearly missed by his wife Marilyn; daughter Thirza; sons Dean (Zara), Calvin (Jennifer), Philip (Elizabeth), and Todd (Liza); grandchildren Tianna, Amy, Evelyn, Tamara, Marisa, Luke, Conner, Julia, Katrina, Tristan, Ashley, Brett, Cassandra and Taylor.  Twin brother, Larry (Marilynn) and sister Nancy (Bruce) Urbinsky, Brother–in-law Mel (Sandy) Chambers, Sisters-in-law Diane (Ron) Thomas and Carol Mammel  and many numerous friends.   Predeceased by parents Virgil and Samantha Wattenbarger, brother  Mel and wife Eileen, sister Ilene Jensen and brother-in-law Don Mammel.  We all share wonderful memories of Louis.  He always offered a helping hand to everyone.  Louis loved to travel and see the world, whether it was towing the trailer or getting on a plane.   Louis spent most of his life as a truck driver and made friends wherever he went.  Work took him from Alaska to Oregon, B.C. to Saskatchewan and all points in between.  Louis will be remembered as a person who enjoyed life, always positive and shared everything.  A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2015 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta at 1:30PM.  We welcome all who knew him-please come and share your stories with us and with each other.  If desired, donations in his honor may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
