Family and friends mourn the passing of Lawrence Arthur Cooper (Coop).
LA Cooper, beloved husband of Irene Cooper of Drumheller passed away peacefully Friday, January 23, at the age of 84 years. Lawrence was born in Fort McLeod, AB on Feb. 23, 1930, to Gertrude and Thomas Cooper. Lawrence is survived by his wife Irene, his step-son Paul and Sheila De Costa, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, his brothers John and George Cooper, as well as his sister Bertha. Lawrence will be deeply missed by his family and his friends in the valley. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Courtney Winters Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Magloire’s Anglican Church at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Luncheon will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion immediately following the service after which there will be a private family gathering at the cemetery. Courtney-Winters Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
