BABUIK, Sharon Lois
October 7, 1953 - September 4, 2011
Our mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully at the Hanna Long-Term Care after a long struggle following her stroke in the spring. She was born in Radway Hospital, the youngest of 7; grew up on the farm near Abee, moved to Edmonton - starting her family, and came to Drumheller in 1983, where she had lived ever since. Sharon was predeceased by her parents - Elmer and Esther Ellefson, and survived by her children - Chuck (Candace) Babuik of Big Valley, Cory Babuik of Drumheller, and Crystal Babuik of Drumheller; grandchildren - Ethan, Riley, Sydney, Lily, and Archer; siblings - Arlene (Nick) Kapach of Abee, Jim (Donna) Ellefson of Thorchild, Barb Andruchow of Edmonton, Norm (Terri) Ellefson of Lake Isle, Gord Ellefson of Edmonton, and Don Ellefson of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Drumheller Acute Care. Also thanks to Hanna Funeral Chapel and Westlock Funeral Home for helping us lay Mom to rest. Funeral Service was at 2 pm on Friday September 9, 2011 at the Abee Community Hall, interment was at Radway Community Cemetery. Donations can be made in Sharon’s name to the Salvation Army.
