Irish Descendants featured at Rosebud Open-Air Concert Festival

IMG 0172 scaled

Nothing goes together better than hot August nights and live music.
Rosebud Theatre has put both of these together coming on August 18 for the Rosebud Open Air Concert Festival.
On the Festival Stage, attendees will be able to enjoy some great music from local artists from near and far. All you need is a lawn chair, maybe some bug spray, and a love for music.
Acts include Rosebud’s own Lewis and Royal. It is a partner ship that has lasted decades and delivers great music, a little bit of rural charm and humour.
Also, performing is Alberta’s John Wort Hannam. He has been a mainstay on the Alberta Music scene for more than two decades. With a Juno Nomination under his belt as well as a Canadian Fork Music Award, he continued to bring his music to the masses, backed by a new band.
Wrapping up the show is truly an iconic Canadian band. The Irish Descendants have been on the Canadian music scene since the 1990’s and were a big part of an East Coast folk revival, which brought along many other artists. After more than three decades and various lineups, they have continued to tour heavily bringing their traditional Newfoundland Music to the rest of Canada.
There will be a food truck as well as takeaway food available at the Mercantile, and a beer tent featuring local breweries. Camping is also available.
