Morrin celebrates 100 years

Residents in the Village of Morrin celebrated the village’s centennial...plus three...over the August long weekend. The celebration was originally scheduled to take place in 2020 but was postponed until this year due to concerns for public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. There were several events and activities for people to enjoy throughout the weekend, including opening of the time capsule, which was interred in 2000, by Eleanor Bremer and Morrin firefighter Michael Donahue, and a parade where Wanda Hampton enjoyed a beverage on the Devaleriola float; members of Starland County council also came out for the village’s milestone celebration.
