Triple Crown series event coming to DORVA

2022 Triple Crown

After two attempts, the Drumheller Off-Road Vehicle Association (DORVA) will be hosting a premier Canadian motocross event.
On June 11 and 12, DORVA will be hosting the second event of the 2022 MX Triple Crown Series.
The Triple Crown is a point series where riders compete in Arenacross, Motocross, and Supercross events. The Drumheller event will be a motocross event. The amateur races will be on June 11 and the pro series goes on June 12.
“Over the year you will get points for the Arenacross tour, points for the Motocross tour, and points for the Supercross tour. At the end of the year whoever wins the most points for all three disciplines wins the Triple Crown,” explains Brad Peake of DORVA. “One thing about it is there are different abilities and different styles, but the tracks are the same for everyone. That’s the one equalizing factor, it comes down to who is better at all three different types. But in order to win it, you have to have the ability to be at all three.”
The events get wide viewership, where it will be broadcast live and in re-airing on FOX Sports as well as replays on REV TV. It will also be streamed live on Ryde TV.
“There have been a few of the top Canadians spending their winter in the United States in the AMA Supercross and racing in some of the outdoor series there to keep brushed up, and then come up here and put on a good show,” he said.
DORVA has been a sponsor and supporter of rider Keylan Meston who competes in the series.
“That has been a very long-standing relationship. Keylan has been an ambassador of the sport and a very good ambassador for DORVA MX,” Peake said. “He helped connect all the pieces between Drumheller, the series promoter, and the riders themselves, he helped spread it around the country.”
Peake says there are opportunities for local community groups to maybe raise funds for themselves through helping with the event. This could be event support, to parking. To learn more check out DORVAMX.com, check out their Facebook, or email dorvateam@hotmail.com.
