Eight firefighters from the Drumheller, East Coulee, and Rosedale halls took on the High Rise Challenge to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy and climb the old ski hill in full gear on Thursday, October 7. The team initially planned to climb the old ski hill twice, however, they were only able to safely complete the climb once before it got too dark. They are the only team registered in the Alberta/Northwest Territories region of the challenge, and set an initial fundraising goal of $1,500. As of Tuesday, October 12 they had raised a total of $2,710.
