Drumheller RCMP have arrested a Hanna man and he has been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.
In the evening hours of April 21, 2021, the Drumheller RCMP and Drumheller Crime Reduction Unit were on patrol when they identified a male they knew and recognized was in breach of a court order.
Michael Farmer, 39, of Hanna, was arrested for failing to comply with his release conditions. Incidental to arrest, police located what is believed to be methamphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms), fentanyl, and proceeds of crime.
Farmer was charged on three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and for failing to comply with his undertaking.
At the time of his arrest, Farmer was on release conditions for similar offences.
Farmer was held for a Judicial Interim Release hearing and was released to appear on April 23, 2021 in Drumheller Provincial Court.
