IMG 2765

On Thursday, February 6, the Drumheller Area Health Foundation received a donation of $2,000 from the Alberta Elks Foundation and $3,000 from the Drumheller Elks #54 towards the purchase of a 5.3 mm Rod Lens Telescope System for the Drumheller Health Centre.  The Drumheller Area Health Foundation will also contribute $3,000 towards the cost of the Telescope System. The 5.3mm Rod Lens Telescope System will be utilized for intricate surgeries, where a patient’s wellbeing and surgical outcome is enhanced by clear laparoscopic vision during surgery. This telescope system will provide better imaging to improve diagnosis and treatment. At the donation are (l-r) Nathan Banda (Site Leader, Drumheller Health Centre), Phyllis Anderson (Alberta Elks Foundation), Jas Jawanda (OR RN, Drumheller Health Centre), Anna Lewans (OR Charge RN, Drumheller Health Centre), Blanche Cronk (Drumheller Elks #54), and Trisha Sewell (Executive Director, Drumheller Area Health Foundation).
