The Drumheller and District 4-H Show and Sale went on Monday, June 3 and the bidding was strong for the 19 steer and five market lambs on the block. The Grand Champion was Connor McDougald of the Delia Beef Club with a 1,457-pound steer. It was purchased by John and Monica Vandervies of Star West trucking for $3.90 per pound.
Camryn McDougald of the Delia Beef Club had the Reserve Champion. Her 1,515-pound steer was sold to Cal McGuckin of Kneehill Soil Services for $4.00 per pound. See winning market lambs on page 3.
This year market lambs were added to the Drumheller and District Show and Sale and Mykaela Guildberg had the Grand Champion. She sold to Darryl Brereton of Farmwell Hail Insurance for $5.25 per pound.
Joey Moench raised the Reserve Champion Market Lamb at the Drumheller and District Show and Sale. It was sold to Stan and Marge Moench of Hand Hills Bed and Breakfast.
