Arrests made in stolen vehicle investigation

The Drumheller RCMP have made two arrests following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle.
On October 11 police responded to an early morning suspicious vehicle complaint in Kneehill County. On arrival, police arrested Brent Steven Twilley (28) of Drumheller in a stolen vehicle and were actively searching for additional suspects.
The RCMP South Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services assisted in the search. Shortly after, police located a male suspect and female suspect in a second stolen truck in Drumheller. The male and female were known to police and fled. As a result arrest warrants were obtained and the male and female were subsequently apprehended in Airdrie on October 22, 2018.
Police said today that Alexandru Sariu, 31 and of Calgary, faces Drumheller charges for resist/obstruct a peace officer and two counts of possession of stolen vehicle. Shelby Sleith (34) faces Drumheller charges for resist/obstruct a peace officer and possession of stolen vehicle.

Sairu was previously arrested in August in relation to a theft of a boat from a Beiseker residence using another stolen vehicle. 

Twilley, of no fixed address, was one of three individuals arrested by Drumheller RCMP this summer in relation to stolen vehicles, illegally possessed firearms.
