Case adjourned for trio facing multiple charges

court

Three individuals charged with a combined 56 crimes had their case adjourned until September 21 where they will appear in Drumheller Provincial Court.

John McConnel, 36, McKenzie Clarke, 22, both from Nacmine, and Brent Twilley, 28 and of no fixed address, appeared in Drumheller court on Friday, August 24 where they requested a three-month adjournment because McConnel and Clarke needed to move. Judge Peter Barley only granted them a one month adjournment.

Clarke was granted a request to have her condition requiring her to remain in Alberta while the case is before the court, with the judge allowing her to travel to Boise, Idaho from September 26 to October 1 with her mother to attend a music concert.

The trio are facing numerous charges including possession of controlled substances, possession of stolen property and vehicles, tampering with vehicle identification numbers, and careless use and storage of firearms. After initial arrest, the three were released with court-imposed court conditions.
