A portion of Highway 575 in Drumheller’s industrial area will be closed for up to two months to replace a bridge culvert.
Alberta Transportation crews will be replacing the culvert over an unnamed watercourse on Highway 575, which will result in a detour along 9 Street SW and Premier Road.
In addition to the culvert replacement, the project will also include the realignment of Ploeg Street Crossing such that the road is no longer required to cross over the creek.
On street parking will not be permitted on the detour route while the detour is in effect. The posted speed of 50 km/hr will be maintained along the route.
Alberta Transportation says business access along the Highway will not be affected.
