Citizens on Patrol looking for new members

    COP
The Drumheller Citizens on Patrol (COP) Association asks for new members and donations from local businesses.
Starting in 2001, the program was implemented to assist the RCMP in monitoring suspicious activity in the Drumheller area with the help of volunteers.
The main purpose of the COP Association is to be actively on the lookout to report suspicious activity to the RCMP with the overall objective of maintaining a safer community.
The COP Association assists in an attempt to reduce crime such as; motor vehicle theft, break and enters, vandalism, and distracted and impaired driving.
They have also  become actively involved in situations when police are needed like floods, emergency settings and community programs.
All members are on a volunteer basis and will not receive remuneration.
In order to maintain growth within the COP Association, contributions of $50.00 or more for the 2017 year will help sustain that incline.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining the Drumheller COP Association, please contact President Gunnar Mortensen at 403-823-9825.
