Three Hills RCMP investigate fatal collision

On October 27, 2016, at approximately 7:00 PM, Three Hills RCMP along with Elnora Fire and Rescue, Three Hills EMS and RCMP collision analyst responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of highway 590 and highway 21 near the community of Elnora.
 
A car travelling Westbound on highway 590 failed to stop at the intersection of highway 21 and was struck by a one-ton truck travelling Northbound on highway 21. The lone occupant of the car, a 22 year old male from Stettler was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The 32 year old driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries.
 
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol and weather are not believed to be factors in the collision.
 
The name of the deceased will not be released.
