Bike rally raises awareness

The Grace House in Drumheller saw more than 150 bikers pass through to raise awareness of addiction.

Fresh Start hosted their 8th annual 12 stop ride for recovery bike rally. Using a scavenger hunt style rally, the rider made 12 stops, emulating the 12 steps of recovery.

The Drumheller Recovery House was  step 8 and 9; seeking forgiveness and making amends, respectively. To symbolically make amends, volunteers completed renovating the small balcony on the front of the Grace House.  Volunteers also made sure the riders were well fed before they continued on their route.

Joseph Legacy, executive director of Grace House, enjoyed partnering with Fresh Start for the event and the awareness that it helps to spread.
