Community groups looking for some help on their project can look towards the World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund.
The application period is open for the small project round of granting. These are grants are up to $3,000 for a project. Eligible applicants that are community not for profit groups registered under the Societies Act or other formally organized group.
The funding is available for enhancing capital projects that benefit the community. The funds are not to be used for operations. The grant may be used to supplement funding from other sources to renovate, retrofit, enhance or repair capital construction projects. The recipient must expend all funding within the year they are approved for the project start date.
The Dinosaur Legacy Fund was created to make a lasting contribution to the community. Each year a portion of the profits from the World’s Largest Dinosaur and Gift Shop are used to fund community projects. To date the Legacy Fund has contributed more than $550,000 to 28 different community groups and associations.
