Operation Help the Healer launched for Morgan Jayne project administrator

Supporters of the Morgan Jayne Project are rallying to support the project’s coordinator in Roatan with an online auction.
Most familiar with the Morgan Jayne Project are familiar with Valerie Nelson, dubbed the project’s Guardian Angel. She runs Familias Saludables, the organization that administers the project on the ground. Without her tireless work, literally Children would not be alive today. Nelson is facing her own struggle.
In short, she is very sick.
She has an infection that at this point doctors have not been able to find.  She is on Antibiotics, but her white blood cell count is still very high. She has had a number of ultrasounds and now has to travel to the mainland in Honduras for a CT scan.
She is not afforded healthcare like the system available in Canada, so her medical expenses are coming out of pocket. The CT scan alone could cost in the area of $2,000-$3,000.
To help her with her medical bills, The Morgan Jayne Project is hosing an online auction on Facebook to raise the funds she needs.  Residents are welcome to donate items to be auctioned off in support of Nelson or visit the page and offer a bid.
Already there are a number of items from residents and businesses in the valley; everything from services to electronics.
The bids close Monday at 7 p.m.  Go to the  “Help save the MORGAN JAYNE PROJECT’s guardian angel! Auction page” to get in on the action.
