Drumhellerites, area residents and visitors alike will enjoy the Rotary Town clock located next to the water fountain and the Rotary Spray Park. The clock was installed on Thursday.
“The clock will be a focal point for many years to come and we thank the town administration and Public Works Department for all their cooperation and LPR Concrete for the donation of the cement. We truly appreciate this community support,” says Rotary President Michelle Kendell.
All four sides feature a clock that is within a second of the proper time, thanks to its GPS feature. Another feature is the lighting of all sides of the clock for night viewing.
Fittingly, since the Town clock will be a lasting addition to the community, the newest members of the local Rotary Club; Patrick Charron - Grant Daly - Cody Glydon - Scott Kuntz and Karen Thacker (missing) join with President Kendell, and committee members Doug Stanford - John Shannon - Brent Pedersen - and committee chairman Jim Fisher.
The Town clock will serve as a landmark for years to come. Rotary is very active in the community supporting youth, seniors and projects to benefit all citizens.
