A Calgary man whose family’s visit to the valley was marred by a motor vehicle accident is appreciative to emergency services in Drumheller for their professionalism.
Gregg Upshaw was in Drumheller on Saturday June 25, when the vehicle that he and his family were travelling was rear ended by another vehicle while he was stopped on North Dinosaur Trail attempting to turn left into the Royal Tyrrell Museum.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and his family suffered some minor injuries.
He sent correspondence to the officer in charge and the Drumheller RCMP following the incident expressing his gratitude.
“EMS, fire and police attended the scene and provided excellent care and comfort to us. All the personnel were beyond professional and showed a genuine concern for our well being,” stated the letter.
“In particular, I would like to single out Cst. Tom Dobrich. His professionalism and kindness were beyond our expectations. He made a horrible situation bearable and took a personal interest in the safety and care of all parties involved in the accident.”
