The Boston Pizza Bantam Raptors were runners up at their home tournament following two hard fought matches against a strong Lethbridge team.

The Raptors hosted a tournament at the Drumheller Memorial Arena on November 20-21 with teams coming from Lethbridge, Edmonton, Cochrane, Airdrie and Chestermere. The teams were well matched as they vied for the top prize.
Round robin play began for the Raptors early Saturday morning where they faced a strong Lethbridge team. They came out on the losing end of a 7-2 result.
They regrouped for their second game, and went up against Chestermere and pulled off a strong 4-1 win.
This put the Raptors in second place in their pool, and on to face the first place team on the other side of the draw. The Raptors handed a convincing drubbing to the Edmonton team, walking away with a 6-2 victory.
This win put them in the final, only to face Lethbridge a second time on the weekend. Again, Lethbridge was strong and went on to a 6-2 win, handing the Raptors a silver medal.
Coaches said the team played hard all weekend. The team is appreciative to the coaching staff and parents for the work they did leading up and during the tournament as well as to its sponsors.
