Motorcycle Madness rumbles into town next weekend

Downtown Drumheller will be rumbling with the guttural hum of big, bad, and one-of-a-kind motorcycles next Saturday as Motorcycle Madness is upon the valley once again.

Things kick off Friday, July 8 with the steak ride and dinner at Yavis’ before the bikes roll in for what organizers are expecting to be a big show this year.
“We’ll have more bikes than last year by the looks of it,” says organizer Terry Kuhl, adding that this year’s sponsored charity is the Drumheller and District Humane Society. “There’s a fair bit of interest this year.”
Breakfast and poker run registration starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9. Afterwards, riders will travel around 200 kilometres on this year's poker run, taking them to Morrin, Carbon, Wayne, and Delia before returning to Drumheller for the Show and Shine, bike games, burnout pit, and vendors at 2:00 p.m.
The live entertainment, yet to be announced, will start at 1:00 p.m. and run until midnight.
Motorcycle Madness this year will be contained to one block in the downtown: between S&S News and Vintage Pub and Grill.
