At the first race at Dinosaur Downs this Sunday, N.P.P. Late Model Series racing brought to Drumheller for the first time races at the new 3/8 mile oval.
But the event was flawed, as the race was stopped before the N.P.P. qualifying heat could get underway, due to the rapid drying nature on the second turn of the track put an end to the competitive racing.
Starting at 3 p.m., the event ended around 5 after the hobby stock car feature event, which was won by Danielle Clark.
With another district title under there belt, for the second year in a row, the Drumheller U18’s now have their eyes set on the provincial title, in what might be a first time gold for the team.
