One Drumheller Dragon has been selected to the AJHL Viterra Southern Division All-League Team.
Jordan Taupert, who was this year’s Drumheller Dragons’ Most Valuable Player, and was also a finalist for the AJHL’s MVP award, was named to the South Division team.
Taupert, born in 1998, has had a great season with the Dragons, earning 74 points in 58 games. He led the team with 30 goals, and assists with 44.  In the playoffs, he had five goals and four assists. This was his second season with the Dragons.
This year he was invited to the World Junior A Challenge Selection Camp.
“Absolutely without a doubt, he’s got 20 more points than anybody else on our roster. He’s been an offensive catalyst for our team all year and scored big goals when we needed big goals scored and he’s committed himself defensively,” Kevin Hasselberg told The Mail previously. “He’s been very coachable and from that, he has been a tremendous leader for our locker rooms so undoubtedly he is our team MVP and deserves to be League MVP as well.”
