Craig Martini - The Drumheller Dragons’ newest player
With their first pre-season game less than two weeks away, the Drumheller Dragons have added more scoring power to their hockey club.
20-year-old forward Craig Martini has signed with the Dragons, coming off a successful season with Ontario’s Guelph Hurricanes.
Martini’s 2013-14 season with the Hurricanes saw him earn 68 points - 33 goals and 35 assists.
He has played the last three seasons for the Guelph Hurricanes.
“I chose the Drumheller Dragons because of their continuing success as an organization and I feel we have all the key pieces here to bring a championship back to Drumheller,” said Martini.
“I can’t wait to get to Drumheller and play for a great community and learn from a top coaching staff and organization.”
Martini says this is his final year in junior hockey.
“Craig is a gifted and talented player who has the ability to play a significant role as a top player for the Dragons. He is a strong skater with good vision and the drive to compete hard,” said Dragons Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran.
“I look forward to having Craig as part of our team and helping him achieve his goals.”
