Bobcats take down Dragons

The Dragons were looking to get back on track with a win over the Lloydminster Bobcats on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, the Dragons wound up losing 3-2.
The loss is their second in a row after an eight game winning streak was broken last Sunday.
The Dragons kept up the pressure throughout the game, out-shooting the Bobcats 34-18. However, quality scoring opportunities proved to be elusive for the team.
Halfway through the first period Stephen Doane got the first goal of the night on a 2 on 1 situation with Ryan Aasman.
From there, both teams battered each other throughout a scoreless second period. The Bobcats took advantage of some good opportunities and scored three goals.
Ryan Bloom tied things up briefly with a goal for the Dragons with ten minutes left in the game.
The Dragons will be looking to get back in the win column this weekend. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., they host the Drayton Valley Thunder. The following day at 2 p.m., they’ll be back on the ice facing off against the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Both teams are coming off wins this past week.
